Local Frequencies is a curated photography exhibition exploring personal perspectives on life in the Bay Area. Emerging photographers document the people, environments, culture, and everyday moments that shape their connection to place and community — from intimate portraits and street scenes to nightlife, landscapes, and documentary moments. More than an exhibition, Local Frequencies is a night built around photography, music, drinks, and community — bringing artists and audiences together to experience the diverse visual voices of the Bay Area in a social, energetic setting.

Interested in showing your work at Local Frequencies?
We’re accepting submissions from emerging Bay Area photographers through October 18, 2026.
To submit, send your photographs via WeTransfer to knock@firstdoorcollective.com and include your full name, email address, and phone number in your message.

Please name your files using FIRSTNAME_LASTNAME_01, FIRSTNAME_LASTNAME_02, etc., so we can easily match your photographs with your submission.
Submitting work does not guarantee selection. Selected photographers will be contacted by email with an artist agreement and detailed information regarding printing, framing, installation, and exhibition requirements.
